If I was in charge of making another future Hoenn remake/remaster/reimagination, I'd take the OG designs of the admins and make them into new characters, since their personalities are also drastically different in the originals compared to ORAS. Expand the story, make the evil teams more competent, and add these extra admins so their teams feel like they're bigger and have more control.

ORAS is literally the only remake that DOESN'T replace the old games since it makes an effort to explain how the original games still exist in the non-mega timeline. So your original Courtney with no personality still exists

Most of them were bland as fuck before and needed redesigns to match the current artstyle of the franchise.
The only one who looked good in RSE was Shelly. I vastly prefer her ginger version, but I guess they changed the design just to better match nu-Aqua's color palette.
