Whether we get Megas or not means very little unless these remakes add significantly more features. Also, many fans regard LGPE as a side project due to the GO integration and it was simply a game to introduce the main series to GO players and old fans who left after Gen 1. These games unlike LGPE are intended for the hardcore.

Masuda never worked character or pokémon design in his entire tenure at Game Freak anon. Even Niantic didn't create Meltan, but rather had Game Freak staffers make is as part of their LGPE hook. All the designers were working on Legends and Gen IX to bother adding a speshul powerup form to LGDP, they weren't adding the Gen's gimmick to it, remember? No point bothering with new old gimmick forms at the same point.

Primals don't have any of the requirements that Megas have.
That's completely separate from something like Necrozma's Ultra Burst, which still requires Z-Moves to function.

You didn't need to constantly click a button to get that form anon. It stayed in Orign form from the instant you equppied the stone, rather than needing to select "primal reversion" on the in-game battle screen, before getting the fancy animation where it mega evolves, sorry primally reverts to a super spehul powerup form, that lasts the length of the battle, then fades away, just like mega evolution does.

They're separate things. You don't "use" primal reversion, it happens when you give the respective orbs to Groudon and Kyogre.
So yes, you can Mega evolve even after sending out one of the Primals.

But it's in Gen VIII and not made by Game Freak anon. It's being made faithful to Masuda's experiences making Gen IV, which didn't have Megas. Cross-Gen evos were the big surprise that Gen.
And you know he's stepped down from the direction of the studio? Than his successor broke the lore Masuda had set up with his telling of ORAS? Or indeed that as executive director of the game, he'll be telling them how he went about making the game in the early noughties, which didn't include the conceptualisation or implementation of megas in any way shape or form?

Next time out, the gimmick could be used by everything and certain shit got a secondary version of it instead - much more palatable to people. Gen VIII, same again - everything uses the gimmick, some get a boost form instead.

ME was locked to post game, something that's never guaranteed to be experienced by 100% of payers, OW encounters got taken forward from LGPE instead of any other addition for Gen VIII and masters is aimed at teenagers and older, which isn;t the driving force of the core games, the nip toy shops are irrelevant to the worldwide brand or its directions and you're grasping heavily to try and equate what TPC do to what Game Freak do when it's clear Game Freak do their own thing and let TPC play catch up.
