Realistically though, there's 4 girls Ash has a plausible chance with romantically - Giselle, Latias, Anabel and Miette.
Giselle and Latias are the only girls who awakened his instince of "admiration of femininity" who he proactively showed interest in.
Anabel and Miette were both perceptive and kinda assertive enough to lead Ash into a relationship if it were a viable option for the writers. Those were the only times Ash's asexual status ever felt threatened.
