What are your thoughts on using pseudo legendaries in regular playthroughs?
Do you use 'em? Are the late evolutions frustrating?
How early would you prefer they come by in the game?

Pseudo legends are so weak in the early stage they barely break the game, honestly they make perfect starter mons.

Yes and yes. It's why I'm thankful most good romhacks lower the really fucking obnoxious ones a bit while still keeping them high.

You be able to catch them before the third Gym at the latest. There was another thread a few days ago, but we basically talked about how most pseudo's are absolutely shite in the early game, so catching them late completely removes the burden of even having late evolution levels.

The games are so easy to me that its the same whether I use them or not. I had different experiences though with them.

Actually caught a Gible as soon as you can get it, as expected, it was good.

They're generally not available until later in the game (except you Platinum) and they take a long time to evolve so they're a good choice. Unless you're playing a game where they take longer to evolve than it takes to reach the Champion in which case you're actually shooting yourself in the foot.

Dragon Rage chipping away 40 HP every use is an early-game nuke.

Head Smash as well like with Archen and its 112 Attack stat. That Metapod's Oran Berry at the trainer school couldn't save it.

only dragonite and kommo-o really, dragonite isnt too bad to get in FRLG
