>>47234308The issues with landscape/building scale that have plagued Pokemon since B/W wouldn't be an issue. The way battles involve Pokemon just standing there 10 feet apart, firing off attacks without making contact and actually "fighting" looks less awkward in 2D. Tall grass has never looked right in 3D. But mostly it would just cut down on the man-hours required to finish and ship a good video game.
