The thing is, there are many interactions that are very well hidden and, as much as I loved playing the game, I don't really care much for replaying every level trying every single combination of items on a single Pokémon over and over until they smile at me differently

Yes. I’m not interested in 100%-ing this game because it’s not all that fun and it’s artificially complex just for the sake of being difficult, nothing like the original Pokémon Snap.
Also thought it was bullshit that the final “boss” was that Pokémon X and Y deer thing. It’s not all that memorable.

It's great!
It's the best pokemon game in a decade.

It doesn't have unlimited content and its target demographic is really niche.
People aren't going to talk about it with extreme depth forever.

Don't be a child.
Be glad you had that experience, and move on, and maybe lobby Pokemon Company for another one at some point in the future.

Also try not to think about how great it was as Pokemon games continue to get shittier and lazier with every fucking iteration.

If you just play it for a few hours and don't worry about discovering every interaction it's exactly like the original pokemon snap

Illumina balls come off as kind of vague. It kind of helps to think of them as "energy" balls in the way they can trigger actions.
If doing something once doesn't work, don't be afraid to try it again. Sometimes things will only trigger from multiple bonks/balls/scans
Pay attention to when you get requests since sometimes they're specific to lower research levels
Never be sure that you've fulfilled the criteria for a request. There's often another step.
