Noivern is 1.5m according to the pokedex. Is it 1.5m tall from the tips of its ears to its feet when standing? Or is it 1.5m long from the nose to the end of the tail?

The anime just makes the Pokémon whatever you would think is an adequate size to them and it works infinitely better. Why does GF keep insisting with ridiculous sizes and dex entries?

I always figured or "headcanon'd", I guess that the height and weight listed in the dex is an average of all recorded sizes at adulthood. It makes sense that not every pokemon turns out exactly the same size, but having data on average sizes helps keep things in perspective.

Except for the part where they yeeted the real-life references, stated in-lore pokémon can control their elemental powers and the franchise very much adheres to the lore set down by it and by extension Game Freak.

I agree, anime heights are much better than game dex heights t.b.h. In the games for example, the weather trio are tiny despite being world-destroying kaiju like monsters. In the anime they’re actually portrayed as the giant monsters they’re supposed to be. Love the anime for the nice size portrayals.

The Pokedex heights and weights are 100% pure jokes. It's okay if you think that what the Pokemon should be, but numbers randomly generated for the Pokedex aren't going to be respected in anything official, which you can see here with the anime's Noivern.
