I actually wondered that too. Like why aren't there any bug moves that do good damage in that game? It's such a fucking bad type. The only thing I can think is that they thought you were only supposed to use it in the beginning of the game and then move up to more exciting things than bugs. But that doesn't explain Scyther and Pinsir. I really like bug types too
