Breeding sucks. The tm list sucks. The moves are bad. Physical special split hurts every single hoenn dark type.

Overall the game is good, but alot of pokemon that should be good aren't for weird reasons like altaria not getting drill peck

It's a solid, baseline Pokémon experience, there's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there's nothing especially outstanding either. It's everything you expect out of a Pokémon game, nothing less, but nothing more either.

It’s certainly the best way to play Gen 3 as it adds a lot of new Pokémon and a few new areas. The fact that it’s shiny mechanics are broken along with the lack of post game content in general Hoenn had means it’s far from the best.

It’s by far the best Pokemon game in terms of actually playing through the story and all the features it has to offer. There is a reason half the SWSH section on Twitch is people playing gen 3 hacks.
