Gen 4 fans always make threads to talk about how "perfect" their games are and then when people bring up the problems just insist that they don't actually exist. Gen 5 fans can also be pretty defensive when confronted, although not as much as gen 4.
It's very similar to the Typhlosion or Mega Evolution controversies, with the fans being so defensive that they ignore reality and instead convince themselves that nobody could possibly disagree with them.
