Some of the shinies are such utter fucking trash, I've been thinking that they must have been randomly generated. I just can't imagine a Game Freak employee sitting at their desk thinking "Hmm! I think I will make Garchomp's shiny one shade different than the original" or "I got it! I will make this bear PUKE GREEN! Brilliant!"

pretty sure they were generated by just shifting the color palette up an arbitrary amount
the question is why? is it that hard to manually make the shiny colors for each Pokemon so they look somewhat natural instead of 50%+ being bright pink/green?
