>>47276173I remembered another thing, apparently he's planning on making it so that trainers don't give EVs, because it seems opposing trainers can't have EV spreads themselves, so by removing EVs it's pretty much a fair fight, with only natures and IVs being the main difference. But then he thought about making vitamins break the 100 EV cap and letting you EV train that way, and giving you a big discount after beating Red or something.
This is 'cause in Renegade Platinum, there's an EV/EXP trainer in Solaceon Town. It's primarily meant for Nuzlockes to help new catches catch up to the rest of your team, but it's also intended for you to EV train for postgame stuff. I used it to EV train for my main playthrough and it gave me a pretty good advantage against the bosses, although regular trainers fucked me up. The EV trainer NPC also lets you customize it a bit, as you could fight 6 Pokemon that give 3 EVs of a certain stat, or 1, letting you fine tune it a bit.
Although, I also EV trained in Blaze Black 2 the old fashioned way (wailing on tons and tons and tons of Poliwag and Poliwhirl for their Speed, Pokemon in Desert Resort for Atk, and Pokemon in Celestial Tower for Sp Atk) and I still felt like I was fighting an uphill battle, just that I had a better fighting chance.
>tl;drBasically he's also trying to figure out what's to be done about EV training in the game which'll tie into how difficult he wants it to be.
Since you've been EV training yourself, you probably did it the typical way of destroying certain types of Pokemon over and over right? Are the Power Items available to help?
Also speaking of difficulty, how has it been? The one thing I like about Drayano's hacks is that team building is a ton of fun and the difficulty is at the very least fair.
