So this is a gen where a dive pokeride or whatever exists and you can go deep underwater. You can find many water pokemon swimming around but what's most abundant is Wishiwashi.
If you defeat enough Wishiwashi all of a sudden they'll disappear, the once abundant Wishiwashi are nowhere to be seen.
And then a rumbling starts and boom. A gigantic School Form Wishiwashi starts swimming around and when it locks sight on you it gives chase.
You can either run for your life or fight it head on.
If you run you can always trigger the event again.
But if you fight it you'll enter this powerful Totem style battle.
If you win you can't trigger it again by defeating it.
Instead, after you defeat it you can start to give Wishiwashi swimming around food. Sort of as a 'sorry for beating you up'
After you feed enough Wishiwashi they'll become their school form again.
But, instead of attacking you they give you a Manaphy egg to take care of.
