In PMD game you are kind of required to inorder to relate to the protagonist of the story but beyond that no I haven't. I leave that kind of escapism to the furfags and fetishists

Not sure, I give each of my Pokémon on my team a personality every playthrough, the personalities given might somewhat reflect on me and my personality. And I autistically imagine every Pokémon battle like it’s in the anime since there’s nothing cool or fun to watch in Pokémon battles (hell, I even do that for every other turn based game).

But I only truly self insert as a Pokémon in PMD, big surprise...
