Oh well, Gamefreak being autistic about consistency in the worst way possible again, they cant possibly change colors now. They have to keep things consistent, like how they add an evolution and instead of simply letting you evolve for it through levels they have to add some retarded item or interaction that's most likely locked behind postgame for some reason to let you get it, then it gets abandoned the next gen, same with new baby pokemon where you cant just breed for it oh no, get some retarded shit first
Also they did redesign some old shinies, like cyndaquil line, or bellossom, but obviously it was for the worse
