However, until last year I would've never guessed we were ever going to get more Regis, and there used to be merch with 3, then 5, then 7 Eeveelutions, so I'm not sure if the Z-Move name and partner Eevee's moves are an indication they'll stop making them.
Eevee is a moneymaker, and any new Eeveelution will sell merch. And I think it's pretty clear that's Gamefreak's number one priority.
tl;dr Another Eeveelution is never completely off the table.
