Hyenas aren't dogs, they're not closely related to dogs, they don't act like dogs, genetically they're much closer to cats. The only thing they have in common with dogs is a slightly similar face.
Poochyenas name implies that it's a dog. Design wise it even looks like an aardwolf.
It's extra terrible for Poochyena since both the english and original japanese combine a word for hyena with a slang term for dogs
