Just fill me in. I played CC in 2.0 and it was good, then I herd that he added a feature that randomly makes some NPCs including leaders black as will as adding tranny shit to his game. Just fill me in on any drama or details about Shockslayer and wtf happened to him and CC. Pic related.

Also it's not just "some NPCs", it affects every single NPC in the game and over 75% of them end up darker than vanilla because of the biased randomization. It basically makes Johto feel like Detroit and it's really weird.

I've been playing CC for the past few days, so here's some thoughts:
Many sprites' colour tones are all randomized based on the colour system. The NPCs don't stand out at all, and this is something that just blends into the background. I don't know why this angers so many people on this board.
None of the leaders were made black, but there's a few OC characters (I don't have a problem with any of them) that happen to be black.
Outside of an "other" choice in the character creation, there's no tranny shit in the game.

SS himself proved it on the discord, I'm too lazy to search for the image right now. Basically it had like a range of 255 tones and from light to dark the vanilla skin tone was around 70 or something like that, so the majority of NPCs end up darker than vanilla.

Agree on the E4 too. I'm fine with adding content and I love the additional areas, but replacing the E4 is by far the worst thing in the hack. OC is fine if it's additional content.

Found the image. I got the numbers wrong, but the concept is the same.
Vanilla color is three here, the number on the right is how many NPCs ended up with that color.
So basically, 95 NPCs ended up lighter than vanilla, while over 400 ended up darker. If that's not bias then I dunno what is

this is such a non sequitur that I don't know how you can get this retarded conclusion from this. By this the vast majority of the NPCs are of the vanilla skin tone or close to vanilla skin tone. I seriously don't see how this comprises a "bias" as you or the other poster put it.

Going to add a condition to this. Only 143 ended up being significantly darker than vanilla, since the vast majority ended up either as vanilla or close to vanilla.

as someone who knows next to nothing about romhacking (aside from how to use tools other people made to tweak minor shit), why has nobody else been able to make a hack like Crystal Clear?
from what I gather, Crystal has been fully decompiled, which I took to mean it's well understood how the game works internally and makes romhacking much easier, what does this cockslayer fag know that nobody else does?

there are plenty of other advanced Crystal hacks. open world hacks aren't really that interesting to begin with, and Crystal Clear's issues are fairly minor, so why put in the time just to copy/remake it
