This is poorly drawn, but an idea I'm proud of. Inspirations are

It's a gnome that climbs cave walls to drop itslef onto passing pokemon and trainers, then evolves into a larger monster with a broken hat. It would have a fairly late evolution level but higher stats, Ice type with maybe Rock as a secondary.

I'd say it'd probably be a sabertooth, either it's claws or fangs are venomous. Alternatively, it could be based off the underground sulphuric gas "bubbles".

I think a fire/grass chili pepper Pokémon has been suggested to death.

Grass/Fire could also come in the form of a poisonous plant that causes a rash like poison oak.

A couple years ago, some south american cave excavators thought they discovered some crazy species of bug that constantly moved so quickly that it could only be captured on film and the naked eye just failed to perceive it for the whole of human history; they super lightweight bodies would immediately fail and deteriorate upon death. They looked like flying eels, or big screws with a ribbon-like membrane spiraling around it. Turns out they were just dragonflies whose wings would fuck up appearances on even high end cameras, but for a long time people actually believed in skyfish or the "sky rods".

I had a similar idea, a possum with an ability that puts it to sleep at 50%, and evilves into either Normal/Dark or Normal/Ghost depending on if lt's awake or asleep.

Maybe if you wanted more power, mine was meant to be an early-game mon like Litleo. Rare and worth training, but will fall behind later. The Ghost evo would have Comatose with defensive focus and the Dark evo would have Insomnia/Vital Spirit with offensive focus.

A featureless creature that looks like it's made of clay or dough, pure normal type. By painting it (which also gives it a face) it gains a primary type, and by giving it an extra body part (flying wings, water fins, fire mane etc) it gains a secondary type.
