Gameplay is mixed. On the one hand, it's hard, but on the other, it's hard in the way that someone who actually doesn't know how to make Pokemon hard makes it, so rather than strategy, it's a mixture of tedium and grabbing specific pokemon to deal with the random bullshit terrain, grinding it up on a level curve that would make vanilla gen 2 blush, then boxing it and never using it again because it's a shitmon you only used because it knew one of the three magic moves that interacted with the fucking terrain.
If you like Pokemon as a puzzle game, it's fine, if you like pokemon as, y'know, a game, it's shit.
However, what truly is unforgivable is that it runs like shit. Random chop and slowdown, the speedup runs against poor performance, so it's only slightly faster than default, and it's not easy to export into a format that is friendly to a phone or something, so you're probably playing it cemented to your computer, or not at all.
Honestly, I could put up with everything else if it ran better, and I could put it on my phone. But runs like shit ON a computer? It can fuck right off.
