If I ever wanted to make a dex, I would be offended. Honestly there’s some fine designs, but the amount that the artist posts his stuff so people can stroke his own ego is astounding and part of why I dislike it so much.

It's a 7/10 dex and could easily slide into Gen 9 as an official dex. Almost none of the designs here are bad or look off for the franchise style.

Xenoverse also gets extra credit in its dex for being a great game, too. It has its issues in terms of plot and linearity, it lacks some of the QoL of other hacks and fangames and post-game right now is really incomplete, but it's a very solid 40 hour experience. I would genuinely be happy if Nintendo picked this up, tweaked it, polished it and released it as a spin-off.

Yeah the ladder dex is better imo. The ideas are far more cohesive. And interesting. Xenoverse is good too. I think it has the best design out if the too (crying plant) but overall the Assdeer dex has far more consistent bangers and it looks like its not even finished.

I think the problem with fakemon dexes is a lot of the time it's one person making all of them or if there are multiple people there's a lack of an art direction. I've yet to see one that could convincingly look like an official generation of Pokémon.

I think the xenoverse one is hurt the most by this, I do like it a lot more than some of the other dexs but almost all of the pokemon are a little too busy and complex... there's a lack of balance there that an extra person could lend to the dex.
