Nah, not really. Even in these matchups, Blastoise still beats Charizard. While it's STAB would be neutral against Charizard, Blastoise can learn Ground and Dragon-Type moves, which are supereffective against a Fire/Dragon-Type Charizard. While Charizard's best move against Blastoise would require it to charge for a turn before it can hit Blastoise

You have to be a genuine faggot to still think Charizard should be be a Dragon type. This is coming from someone whose favorite Pokémon is still Charizard. You have a form with the Dragon type, that is enough. If anything Gyarados should get the type, it really deserves it.

I like the design a lot since it's a relatively simple dragon (I also like Hydreigon and Druddigon), but people give its simple design a pass while knocking similar designs because it's from KANTOOOO and they weren't based enough to choose Venusaur.

That's debatable. You'll pretty much always see G-Max Zard because people love their chip damage but I do think being able to set its own weather snd power up its next hits is equally as good if not better.
