>>47323911The difference is that Kirby's basic formula is practically perfect as it is. The only game I can remember people complaining about was Star Allies, and that was just because the base campaign was easy (even if it could be fun, it was effortless). Even then people loved the lore reveals and characters/bosses of Star Allies.
On top of that Star Allies got three FREE DLC updates, including the ability to play as numerous different characters (like fan favorites such as Marx and Magalor), an extremely fucking hard bonus campaign and an extra difficulty added to the boss rush mode with a new final boss.
Meanwhile Pokemon has been on a downward spiral in quality, actively removed content and lied about the reasons for it, had a completely atrocious base game then rather than fixing it with a new updated rerelease or just adding in the fucking Pokemon like they PROVED THEY COULD DO they just tacked on two garbage DLC areas that fixed none of the core games issues for thirty fucking bucks.
