Pokemon's universe is just the real world but with Pokemon inserted into it. It doesn't have much of an identity. Everything in Pokemon works like the real world, except there's no animals (except humans) and monsters with magic powers exist in their place.

Yes. Obviously Pokémon reigns supreme but there’s so many other monster collection games that are similar to Pokémon or even some that branch out a bit but have the same feel
