Looking to trade some dittos for future masuda method projects. I have 6iv all 31 iv, 5iv special attacker, and 5iv physical attacker ditto which I would like to exchange for an equivalent non-english ditto.

Hey I figure this is the place to ask. What mons should I use if I don’t want to get smacked by the latest and gayest OU/pseudo legends on random link battle? I’ve been out of the game for a bit (Gen 6) and am trying to enjoy myself again. Any staples out there that aren’t boring cookie cutters?

I recommend giving some staples a chance to play with. Both Rillaboom and Dragapult are very gratifying to play with. Other interesting new options for weather are sand rush Dracozolt and swift swim Barraskewda, both mog competition pretty well. I also recommend trying out Comfey, it's my favorite gen 7 mon.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I haven’t bred and trained anything new. All my stuff is literally freshly transferred from ORAS. I had a sticky web team I wanted to have fun with but I kept getting mogged but just better shit (that dumb gay psychic mounted horse thing is a pain in my ass).

Any suggestions for using Nidoking on a team? He’s one of my genuine favorites and I’m glad sheer force has him still useful. I had him on the sticky web team but again, better stuff just keeps getting me.

Also, I have a stealth rock ferrothorn but so help me I think I’d rather have a taunt screener. Hazards never do me any good. I’ll get them set up and get shit anyway. I think a lot of it is just me being rusty and need to research the current meta some more.

As far as screens go a new addition in gen 8 that you can use is Grimsnarl. Grim has pranker screens and a solid move pool. Real good support mon. Not sure what format you're thinking of using nido in so can't really suggest good partners. You can use pikalytics if you want to see what's popular on battlespot and showdown to get an idea of what people are typically using as a good starting point.

Just standard 6v6. Is the ranked ladder battles in swoosh 3v3? I haven’t tried them yet actually. But I guess that. Would I be expected to use OU shit right out of the gate or would I have more room for variety in low ladder?

Use repeatball or dark ball.
Repeat is strongest buyable ball assuming you owned that pokemon before. Dark ball is 2nd best buyable ball for raid catching. Dont stress over ball cosmetics just buy what gets you the pokemon

Actually I tested it and it seems like you can’t relearn egg moves or TMs if they were not obtained in swooshie. Sux. Guess I’m playing showdown or training up a *single team of 6* instead of the 3+ boxes I have from previous gens.

Leftovers, though I saw a guy called Emvee using Custap on a unovan stunfisk on showdown, pretty cool as well. It,s a shame that unovan stunfisk with yawn is obtainable only through older gens.
