Why do you like her?
She's not only a cutie, to me, she's one of the few characters that really has shown a good development, personality and felt genuine in the show without being too forced or overbearing.
When I started watching the show again after the classic saga. I wasn't so Interested in the show. It was the same thing, the same formula, yada yada. But then Dawn got introduced. I wasn't amused at first but gave the new girl a chance (I was once a Misty fan but it faded away pretty quickly). After closely seeing her struggles, her losses, the times where her friends/pokemon showed their care for her and how she responded to it and finally, her victories. Little did I know that I was already hooked on the show again and I was rooting for her all along. It's stupid, I know, but I really liked how she was portrayed and how she was learning from everything.
What Draws you to her?
Honestly, her personality. It has kind of become a meme now, but even though she is seen as mostly cheerful and caring, the girl (just like May) manage to show so much more. Seeing her put in practice what she has learned, her falls and getting up again, and mixed with it we have a bright, cute, optimistic and determined girl sold it to me. She didn't need shipping, or lived on the shadow of other people, was unwilling/stubborn to help or accept advice or was unnecessarily violent all the time. Viewrs could see the path she was tracing and they (just like me) liked what they were seeing.
Why do you come into these threads?
I'm fairly new here, either on /Dg/ or /vp/ 4 chan in general. I came trying to seek informations and discussions about the remakes and on the way, I found /dg/. People here are mostly civil and chill, we share our interest on Hikari and at least from my part, have fun. I also like the arts and like some anon pointed out, the effort put on these threads (even if it's slow sometimes).
