If it had come out on playstation, pokemania would’ve never happened (kids couldn’t take their games to school and trade/battle during lunch and recess) and the franchise would’ve been dead by the time Hoenn rolled around. The only reasons swooshy went to the Switch is because the 3DS was at the end of its lifespan, and because internet and phone gaming had made the need for dedicated handheld consoles obsolete.
