There are other implications too given that battles are now seamless. How will multi-turn attacks be implemented? How about moves that require you recharge after using it? Will Pokemon evolve mid-battle? How will this work when battles are predominantely 1v1? Are we just constantly switching our team members while a meter recharges?

X number of full ATB bars.

Skip an ATB bar

If there are no cutscenes for battles, then I doubt there will be one for evolutions.

I think it's interesting because the speed stat becomes more than just "who's gonna attack first in a turn". Speed is already one of the most important stats, don't get me wrong, but ATB allows for characters to attack more than once. It may change things in a very nice way
