I've never used nicknames my entire life. I always rejected the in game trade Pokemon too because they can only have their actual names. I've been getting back into it and playing gens 1-3 for nostalgia. I'm naming all of my pokemon but I'm on Sapphire now and there's no pokemon that I want. Also, post a good nickname for my milotic. Guess what?! I got a milotic on sapphire with a dry battery!

I name all the mon I intend to use in-game. Only unnamed Pokemon I have are box filler/trophies and legendaries. Naming legendaries is a sin.

I named my first Milotic "Hestia," Goddess of hearth, but my most recent Milotic is named "Hinawa," because Mother 3 is better than every good pokemon game combined.

I do, it's just that the only Pokémon I nickname are Deerling. I'm breeding for a shiny winter Deerling right now, so I nicknamed every non-shiny NIGGER and wondertraded them. Same goes for other season forms too.
