>>47334900Reposting from an /an/ thread but two of my chickens got killed.
Originally had 6 of them. 2 of them would greet me everytime I come near by the gate where their coop is, so when I went to check on the flock today, those two in particular didn’t show up which I thought was weird.
I inspected the area and there was feathers and hay everywhere so there was a definately a struggle, three of the chickens were huddling in a corner while one was in the coop, poor thing didn’t want to set foot outside.
I followed the trail of feathers, and found one of the bodies, no blood, so the kill was quick and whoever did this likely snapped her neck or gave her a heart attack. Found the second body far away from the coop (somehow up in the forest) where she was hidden in a grass ‘dome’ against a tree, same traits as the previous body, no blood and no sign of injury.
I don’t know what might have caused this, I suspect my neighbor’s dog (border collie) May have gotten in somehow and used it’s retarded strength to kill my chickens.
I feel fucking awful because this is the first time I had chickens before and it happened during the middle of the daytime too, and I loved these birds so goddamn much (as dramatic as it sounds).
TL;DR: Neighbor’s border collie invaded my garden and used its retard strength to kill two of my chickens. I am really upset about this.
