Mewtwo and the legendary birds are not Box Legendaries, Gen 1 predates that formula. The trend of two legendaries and third legendary for the third version started with Gen 3.

It's the only legendary that I consistently forget the name of. Very forgettable and, for a doomsday/otherworldly/end times pokemon, underwhelming design. If Ultra Necrozma wasn't already a thing, I'd forgive it a little more.
