literally the only reason I was looking forward to Sinnoh remakes was to see redesigns or how they'd reimagine the game, instead it's exactly the same (with somehow worse looking graphics actually)

i just noticed the water looks too "low" for the player to surf on it, i mean i guess it will have an animation of the player jumping into the water or something

This is actually in the original, not as pronounced. But it's to stop you from getting the lake sprits early. I'm pretty the water raises up at some point.

I admit i find the low budget look slightly charming though

Still, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a bad game, it depends on the content it has

Not that unlikely, really
The only things that give me a bit of faith in the game's content is that it's not directly developed by GF and that those fucks moved into Ninty's new HQ and those guys are notoriously inflexible when it come to a game's quality (which might actually be the whole reason the game was outsourced to begin with)
