Unova is absolutely chad and here's why

Amazing roster of Pokemon at 156 total (plus a bunch of forms, wow!!!)

Haxorus, Druddigon, Samurott, Zebstrika, Galvantula, Escavalier, Accelgor, Volcarona, Tao Trio, Hydreigon and many more are such great designs.

BW and B2W2 pushed the limits of the DS, experimenting as hard as they could with the battle system, new minigames, the GTS and also new battle modes -- plus new modes for local and online play.

It absolutely hyped up the competitive scene, despite a few broken things like Thunder Wave Thundurus, Prankster Whimsicott and Sand Rush Excadrill.

It took the battle engine of gen 4 and cranked it up several notches, with a near 3-D battle background, completely 3D overworld, amazing new camera angles -- and a cast of unforgettable characters.

N is also the best rival in any Pokemon game, as he grew from being Ghetsis' pawn in BW to outright thwarting his plans in B2W2.

Colress is another amazing character with a great battle theme.

The Pokemon World Tournament.

VGC had an awesome, specific track that was a remix of Blue's Champion theme from RBGY.

Pokestar Studios, along with all of the cool event Pokemon we got during Unova's run.

Hidden Abilities became a thing, giving some previously shit Pokemon some actual viability.

Coolest boxart legendaries to date, for any Pokemon game ever, in Zekrom, Reshiram and the two Kyurem forms.

Exp grinding was made way easier with Audino, as it's the most common "rare Pokemon" in rustling grass. Phenomena spots in general is such a cool concept.

BW and B2W2 challenged the player without dumbing things down or bogging the entire playthrough with some corny new mechanic (the key system in B2W2 still sucks though).

Blaze Black, Volt White, Blaze Black 2 and Volt White 2 are the best difficulty hacks to exist.

Unova is absolutely based as hell, the end.
