Very possible, in fact, iirc the honey mechanic was a scrapped G/S mechanic that was replaced with Headbutt. Developers will do that though when it comes to scrapped ideas and will revisit them in subsequent entries.

Yea seems sinnoh brought back loads of shit that was scrapped from gen 2, like>>47348616 plus they brought back stuff that was ommitted from gen 3 like day and night and cross gen evos. Sinnoh was probably masuda's version of gen 2 much like how gen 3 was seemingly his version of gen 1
