Seriously. It's fucking criminal that so many of the cool, new mon in Gen 2 were stuck in the lategame. Yeah, sure, it wasn't that they were all native to Johto, just newly discovered, but when the new Pokemon are so poorly utilized it defeats the purpose of their inclusion. I'm playing GSC because I like Johto. Maybe I don't want to use Arcanine or Rapidash for the 15th time, maybe I want to use the newer Fire guys like Slugma or Houndour. Both of whom won't be available til you're 8 badges in.
