Sm broke the magic of pokemon. Half of it was in my head, the other half is the game.
Once i mentally clocked out due to all the bullshit cutscenes, the pure gameplay just seemed boring.

Pokemon is still kind of fun.

This board should become a predominantly creator-driven board. If more people produced the content they wanted to see, it would reflect upon the fanbase as a whole and eventually feed back into the franchise proper. But instead its filled with whiny cunts who make threads like these every day.

Go into /rheg/ or /vpwt/ and learn how to make something.

>play black and white on release shortly thereafter and get into the metagame, did lots of trading and battling on /vp/ despite being a year underage at the time
>fond memories of breedan tradan battlan during late adolescence

Pokemon has resonated with me throughout most of my life and is responsible for lots of great memories. I once again got back into things this year after skipping gen 7 entirely and I've had a lot of fun replaying Crystal with some Stadium 2 on the side, and I'm also playing shield's DLC right now and it's actually pretty good. I see what people mean when they say the DLC should've been the base game. Hopefully gen 9/gen 8's "third version"/sequel does more of what the DLC does
