Umbreon isn't what I would expected from the star gen 2 mon but then again I couldn't really think of anything else off the top of my head that would
Gen 3 is all pretty good picks, though i don't really know why grovyle is there other than shared affection from treecko and sceptile

It’s far from my favorite, but it’s grown on my a lot in recent years. I can’t tell if I actually like it more, or the Fire starters that came after make it look better in comparison.
I think a lot of the initial hate was that it was the third Fire/Fighting starter in a row, and the whole starter evolution leaks didn’t help things much.

I love Meganium as do plenty of other girls. It's just in a tough spot because Feraligatr and Typhlosion were really cool and are still some of the most solid final evos. As for Inteleon, he's also favored among girls for being an ikemen.

I think it just boils down to pigs are ugly. They can be cute like Tepig but once they stop looking like piglets the design just becomes a fat manly pig which only appeals to a small group of people.
