I'd breed my Totodile so I could have two of them and pretend they were the velociraptors from Jurassic Park. Now I ditch my starters because I've played the first two gens to death and intentionally use unusual pokemon to pretend I'm not wasting my life playing the same shit over and over.

Agreed, but in hindsight those were some of the strongest episodes. And they had to make way for him to catch new, different pokemon. The series couldn't have remained that interesting if he'd caught six pokemon in the first few episodes and then stuck with them like we all autistically did when we played the games.

I don't get the solar beam attack. Like, it's the sun, it's plasma, fire. It should be a fire type attack. A plant shooting a laser beam should cause it to explode or burn up.

Good choices. Always thought it was weird lanturn didn't have another evolution, especially given how few unique third evolutions there were in gen 2. Johto in general gives me an uncanny feeling for some reason
