We might have to put up with lag know, but at least when Game Freak finally releases a Pokemon game onto the switch, they will be able to transfer all the Pokémon models in without any trouble. Imagine if they had to cut over 25% of all Pokemon? That would really suck. Good thing Game Freak was smart and planned ahead because all Pokemon and all their fans are important to them.
