I'm conflicted about ORAS.
It has incredible flaws, such as its mediocre difficulty at best or how it butchered the region in some areas. On the other hand, the game offered tons of new features such as DexNav or soaring which should have been kept while keeping the additions of XY such as the PSS or Megas and expanding upon them. It is also one of the games with the most Pokémon contained within them, and thanks to the aforementioned DexNav, catching them all has never been easier. While the online features were still actively used, the meta was loads of fun, though the genies began to fuck it up, admittedly.
Overall, I'd personally say that it is the best 3D game so far and even compared to the original games (basically every game before 2013), it is passable considering games such as DP in their roughness to play. I see its flaws and don't think it's a great game, but it is, in my humble opinion, a good game.
