>>47411929No, I tend to gravitate towards Fighting-Types because I do rock climbing and Karate and like to go to the gym a lot, but the main reason I like Hitmonlee is because I feel like I can relate to it a lot.
The absence of a mouth hits hard for me because I always had trouble speaking as a kid, and I still haven't really opened up much as I've grown. I'd rather speak as little as I can in my daily life, only talking the bare minimum to get around.
The only prominent bodily features (apart from the legs of course) being his eyes, which appear to be inside some kind of protective "shell", also makes me relate to it, because it's like it's looking out to the world and not letting anything else in, no one has seen its true "inner" form, exactly like me.
Hitmonlee is far from my favourite Pokémon, but if I had the ability to bring one Pokémon to the real world it would definitely be Hitmonlee. We could train together, and not worry about what society expects of us.
