Should have got a Windows, yeah. Your best bet would be to somehow install the Windows OS into it or a Windows emulator.
If it's too I convenient, just buy a cheap windows compiter

Can you not access the bootloader? I imagine you wouldn't have the necessary drivers to run Windows anyway

Yeah there is, Yuzu or RyujiNX are both good emulators for the switch. You need good enough specs though.

There's ways for you to obtain the necessary files to run Yuzu without owning a switch anyway. Give RyujiNX a try if you can't get them though.

You can install Linux on a chromebook, and attempt to run Windows tools through box86 and Wine, though all of this will be a pain. There's few romhacking tools for Linux outside of the pret decompilations and their related tools, but even then you'll have to build them for ARM instead of x86.

It's *possible*, just a massive pain to get going, especially if you've never used Linux.
