Gen 5 did go back to soulful sprites with more menacing, animated poses (it's the best Rhydon has looked) but then Gen 6+ is the most soulless shit ever with idle colorless poses. Everyone looks so washed out and they're just standing there like mannequins. It sucks.
Peak sprites are Gen 2 and 5.
Also anons will think you're shitposting as a brainlet with the Ability and Nature thing, but even Drayano acknowledged they're just a timesink and his Sacred Gold 2.0 will have no EVs except for Vitamins..
and I don't remember if it was him or some other guy who removed Natures because of that same problem. Just makes 70% of mons you catch useless. I can't be happy about my Zubat if it doesn't have a positive attack or speed nature.
Sometimes I'll get away with something crappy like Defensive Sandlash if I'm particularly desperate, because he ALSO has to have Sand Rush. Very unfun.
