Either Unova with its unique locations/different appearances for Opelucid/Mistralton, or SWSH with the different Gym Leaders, since version differences normally only go as far as unique Pokemon. Selling as pairs is a marketing gimmick of the lowest order but people buy it up anyways.

I don't mind it and having to socialize to get them is a core part of the concept but if they really want to continue with it they really should focus on making the pairs more different to each other.
