>>47423092>Pokemon CloverShitty jokes aside, it's unironically the best overall feeling pokemon hack I've ever played; the difficulty is perfect, the exp system is perfect, the story gets good as shit later on, pokemon quality is generally very balanced, and the bad humor and pacing of the game strikes this delightfully anarchic and deadpan tone that I adore.
>Renegade PlatinumBest challenge/enhancement hack out there, I think it's slightly better than Storm Silver, but both are pretty good. Even sidesteps most, but not all of the grinding problems set in place by most difficulty hacks.
Main flaw is being a DS game, and DS Emulators being pretty below GBA in terms of overall ease of use.
>Quarantine CrystalLike Pokemon Clover, but worse and set in Johto. Not much else to say. Has the good gameplay feel of Clover, without the refinement.
>Emerald KaizoThe rebalancing, enemy team building, and pokemon availability is on point, battles are super fun, and having to plan around tough fights is great. Only this low because grinding in this game fucking sucks especially if you don't get a Sweet Scent pokemon ASAP, and you need to do a lot of it; it's perfect with an infinite Rare Candy mod.
>RebornHorrible game, runs like ass, balanced like shit, and written horribly, but I love referencing it to make people seethe. Not seriously recommended, it will make you hate romhacks.
>PrismMy actual fifth place pick. it's a gen 2 hack with updated features, iirc it's stuck incomplete, but what's there is perfectly good and playable. Only flaws are the added types being pretty bad for overall game balance, a few decidedly un-pokemon puzzles that halt the game's pacing in its tracks, and the overworld being pretty strangling for a good while.
