Before I begin with the leaks, I am an employee at the Pokemon Company and have been informed of a "cultural" change coming to Pokemon. Gen 9 is set to be the most "progressive" generation in the series. This isn't much to my surprise, as many Japanese IPs are starting to delve into Western "Woke" Culture due to the massive Chinese Influence taking over these companies. Ultimately, I'm leaking this because this is the last thing I want for the company, and quite frankly plan on leaving anyways once this shit pops off. Without further ado...

>Region based on Southern California
>Most "progressive" generation
>You can now breed two Pokemon with the same gender. This is killing two birds with one stone (The progressive pushing crap and to lower the barrier of entry for competitive play similar Nature Mints in Gen 8)
>Open World: Explore the entire region without barriers (See the theme here?)
>Gyms are studios located in "Hollywood". Getting access to each studio requires completing 8 missions to unlock the chance to battle them. Similar to Island Trials in Gen 7.
>First openly Gay/Lesbian characters to be introduced to the Pokemon series
>The player character now has three genders: Boy, Girl, or Non-Binary
>Evil Team are based on conservative values and not pushing social boundaries.
>Gym Leaders are based on celebrities. The Electric Gym Leader is based on Ryan Reynolds as a "Thank you" for starring in Detective Pikachu
>Regional Based Forms:
>Fire/Ground Red Donphan and a Water/Ground Blue Mudsdale. They represent the mascots of the two political parties in America
>New Regional Form of Scrafty. Looks visually like a basketball player. No clue on the type.
>New Regional Form of Kangaskhan. These versions decided to not carry around children and are very "independent". Type is Normal/Fairy

>Finally, the starters are a Grass Bear, Water Sea Lion, and Fire Snake.
