Furries that like females are rare. Furries like barashit, broody emo shit, or twinks, with very little exception, and most of that exception is hyper-specific fetishes.
Most of the draw to feminine animals comes from people into feral, who *tend* (exceptions exist) to be much more restrained with the habit, but also like more exotic things, so would favor something like Vaporeon over Espeon.
This is why Umbreon is the most common, and most cursed eveelution. It has all of the broody, emo, "nobody understands me, I'm just different" shit, and twink shit forced onto it. It's also why Vaporeon has a relatively clean reputation, despite being fapped to almost as much. Furries aren't into Vaporeon, feralfags are, and feralfags just want a fap with minimal drama, usually.
The moment is mostly past, unfortunately, but back in the day, going around and proving why Umbreon should be Poison type was fucking heresy, because the emo, edgy furry teens putting all their angst on it NEEDED Umbreon to be Dark type. It was fun as shit.
