Specifically in SwSh there's a slight pause when the dialogue box pops up that reveals whether your Pokemon hit or not. When it shows up almost instantly, it means you missed. It pisses me off so fucking much.

Fuck all of this, especially the fake out and protect shit during a playthrough where competitive tactics isn't needed unless you're tryharding against the braindead AI.

Yea I hate this shit. I had an overlevelled Mon that walled the opponents spoink, barely failed to ohko and he got a cunfuse ray off. I wasnt at full health but I didnt think it would matter. I ended up hitting myself 5 times in a row without snapping. After the last hit my mom succumbed to spoinks psybeam. But if you ever try to use confuse Ray on them they literally never hit themselves and snap out almost immediately.

Heres another one

>you will never hit it again

>you try to use double team, maybe even get 2 or three off
>they hit you every time as if you never used the move

Sometimes it works in your favor, but you have to have an unreasonable setup. I had a Starmie that got me through a few battles in Stadium by putting flash, minimize, recover, and then an attack move on it, but there were times where a Pokemon somehow managed to land attacks on me several times in a row despite stats being buffed and lowered to hell. I swear the AI cheats.

Fuck using moves with less than perfect accuracy. I used Raichu on a water route against npcs. Out of the ten pp thunder literally hit once. Okay, I thought to myself, must be a fluke its a 7/10 roll each time. So I made a note of every time I used thunder from that point forward. After 100 attempted thunders I hit 33. THIRTY. FUCKING. THREE. I know theres a lot that goes into statistics im not aware of, and I know I could have just gotten incredibly unlucky but fuck. Never again.

Heres some adjusted estimates for true accuracy rates.
>moves with 100% accuracy
100% unless opponent uses a single double team, if so 25%
>95%
75-80% true accuracy
>90%
60-75%
>80%
~50%
>70%
30-40%
>60% (hypnosis)
25% if you use it, 90% if opponent uses it.
>zap cannon/dynamicpunch 50%
Dont bother lol maybe 10-20%
>ohko moves like guillotine 30%
Lol maybe 5%

The AI actually 100% cheats in R2 so never rely on statuses, or moves with less than a 100 accuracy or you'll miss all the time
