When your Pokemon faint in battle, they aren't dead. They aren't even unconscious. It's explained in several games that your Pokemon are merely exhausted and need to rest before they can battle again.

When Pokemon "faint", they only pass out for a few seconds. They wake up quickly after the battle, completely unharmed, just tired.

Yes, because Pokemon are magical creatures that are for more durable than real world animals.

Death is consistently shown to irreversible in this universe. A Pokemon Center can only restore the energy of an exhausted Pokemon, it can't bring the dead back to life.

because the anime and games are toned down for children.

the manga had pokemon literally die in battles (Brock's geodude got expldoed and died too)
and this is the closest to Tajiri's vision of Pokemon

Tajiri himself says otherwise. He didn't want Pokemon dying in battle. And he never said the manga was closest to his vision of Pokemon, his exact quote was:

The games and anime are closest to Tajiri's vision, the PokeSpe is simply closer to the games/anime than any other Pokemon manga.

That you go. Fainting just means a Pokemon is too exhausted to battle. It can still walk around and do other things, it's just too tired to battle.

In Japanese, "Revives" are also called "Vitality Fragments", which is even further proof that all they do is restore energy to a tired Pokemon.

They hunt each other, yes, but they don't kill each other with moves.

They don't need their trainers to keep them alive when they faint, because when you KO a wild Pokemon, it escapes to go rest somewhere, because again, they aren't hurt, they're just tired.

Tajiri perhaps saw the world building, the characterization of the characters, the gym leaders being surprisingly not all good people, and battles being violent close to what he wanted pokemon to be before it toned for Nintendo logo.

They clearly aren't 100% against showing death(or other aspects of the guide) but they'd rather doing within the controlled bubble of influence of GF-TPC-OLM-Nintendo than have someone else do whatever. The whip weren't used to command Pokemon. They were a holdover from an idea of trainers themselves being able to battle. It was removed because if trainers can fight on their own, Pokemon are pointless.
