>>47461251Not him, but I think the biggest idea is the fact that Game Freak has started cutting out post-game content that fans loved (like the Battle Frontier) because they view them as pointless or redundant since "why bother putting in the effort when you could just battle online?"
Essentially, GF has slowly been cutting away at the content older fans enjoyed with the expectation that it's replaced by online battling, but it's not only not the case, but the online battle itself isn't even that good anyways. People liked the older frontier shit because it had interesting ideas and concepts to be explored. Nowadays it's just the same copy/pasted battle tower expy and that's it.
And they're not even hard anymore. The Battle Tower in SWSH is a fucking joke to beat.
